As very obvious in my Silent Sunday post yesterday, spring has arrived. A change of season usually means taking a closer look to our wardrobes: What is missing, what needs to be replaced, what are the new trends and styles… Yes, it is that time again!

One item that is not especially easy to find is the perfect jacket, when afternoons are already warm but mornings and evenings still cool. It also has to be a piece of clothing that looks good with either trousers or skirts and dresses. As seen in Vogue Italia and on many blogs, the re-vamped bomber jacket is just the answer. I have selected a few styles on the John Lewis website that I find particularly versatile and attractive:

Mango Leather Bomber JacketMango Black Leather Bomber Jacket
A classic with a nice collar and shoulder details

Kin by John Lewis Orange Tweed Bomber JacketKin by John Lewis Orange Tweed Bomber Jacket
Loving the vibrant colour of this smart cotton version

Mint Velvet Ellie Quilted Bomber JacketMint Velvet Ellie Quilted Bomber Jacket
Unusual tribal inspired print and interesting choice of colours

Mango Leather BomberMango Black Leather Bomber
Very tailored, great cut and hidden front zip

What do you think? I own a white leather bomber jacket with coloured details. Do you have one too?

The Bomber Jacket

  1. Katia dear,

You said it, change of season is a good time to reconsider many things, including your wardrobe. This Thursday is the first day of Spring, and by the same token the Persian New Year. I wish you and your family and loved ones a wonderful new year, filled with love, health, and prosperity!

    1. Thank you so much for your wonderfuly comment, my dear friend.
I wish the same for you and your lovely family. xx

    1. I know how you feel… The number of times I have now said: “Oh, I should have kept this, the girls could wear it”! 😉 xx

  2. I would wear all of these jackets. Great choices Katia. I agree; I feel I need to have a good sort through of my wardrobe and have a revamp! Enjoy the weekend xx

  3. My career was with John Lewis before I left to have my son. Still my favourite shop so I must go into town and try these…all of them!

    1. Would you still get a discount? 😉
They have a bigger selection, of course, but those were my favourites. xx

  4. I love jackets but not really a fan of the bomber. I am rather short and unless it is very fitted, they don’t give me any shape. Love the orange one, though. Fave colour at the moment x.

    1. I think with all the different styles available it would be worth trying them on.
      Love orange too. 🙂 xx
