She looks slightly distressed, wonder what her story is?
Me too, I should ask next time I go. xx
Well captured, I like the angle! #silentsunday
Thank you, Sophie. 🙂
I think the angle actually makes the photo. xx
Love the angle and the cherry blossom surrounding her! 🙂
Thank you, Emma. 🙂
Thought it was a nice combination. xx
I love the colourful trees in the background really makes the statue stand out x
When I finished working on the photo, I thought the way the statue stands out almost gives it a 3D effect. xx
Love the framing and the modesty of the statue 🙂
Thank you, Iona.
There are many statues in these gardens, I should check the modesty aspect! 😉 xx
Such a striking picture.xx
Thank you so much! 🙂 xx
Very dramatic. She looks a bit sad!
Dramatic is what I was aiming for, glad I succeeded. 🙂
And I agree, she does look sad. xx
wow this is an odd one. she looks a bit mossy poor girl. love the blossoms behind her.
Wonder if they will do a spring cleaning to get rid of the moss? xx
Very dramatic. I kind of think the dirt almost adds to the statue if that makes sense?
It totally makes sense.
I even enhanced these details a bit. xx
Great bit of art, won’t what she symbolises
Thank you for linking up
I should find out! xx
Very dramatic…..They always creep me out a little x
There are many others in these gardens, wondering how you would feel? xx
Autumn’s picture ! It’s so green here ! I forgot the autumn’s colors. 😉
Not autumn, spring! Those are blossoming trees behind the statue, although the “dramatic” effect I went for can be a bit confusing, I guess. xx
LOL ! It trapped me 😉
😉 Have a good week. xx
Thank you, Kelly. 🙂 xx
She obviously stands in a shady spot all year round, no wonder she is looking wistfully up at the cherry blossom 🙂
Love that comment. 🙂
You may well be right. xx
Like the green on the marble, makes it come alive.
Have a nice day 🙂
I agree, it definitely adds something.
You have a nice day too. 🙂 xx
Love her against her background. I wonder why she is looking up. Is she dreaming? Daydreaming me thinks =) #mysundayphoto
I should research her history!
I like your interpretation. 🙂 xx
Interesting picture x
Thank you, Susan. 🙂 xx
Love the angle, and it looks like she has grass stains on her arm and leg. Hmmm…I wonder what the statues get up to at night when no one is around? A little football perhaps?
I moved around it but this was my favourite angle.
As this was taken in the gardens of a castle, I like to think that they go to a formal ball? 😉 xx
