The countdown to Christmas is in full swing. The one to the New Year will soon follow and may well bring a desire for change. How about starting with a fresh look for your bedroom?

The first step is of course to select the style and colour scheme you want. It is worth putting a lot of thought in the process to turn this room into a sanctuary where you can fully relax. A funky or vintage feature wall can provide the wow factor and you could team it with matching blinds or curtains. Make sure you take your time to end up with the correct measurements!

When it comes to buying a new bed, the possibilities are endless. Wood, metal, fabric, leather? Modern or classic? This decision will be part of your early choices, together with the colours and furnishings. Here are a couple of ideas for you:

Last but not least, lamps and accessories will give the bedroom its spirit. And did you think about a musical background as the finishing touch? A wireless music player will pair a high quality sound with a sleek look.

  1. That is going to be my next job! I have just completed my hallway and the kitchen is just getting a lick of paint and a few new accessories but I really want to over hall my bedroom. I will upcycle a few bits like my bedframe etc but I love the look of the featured bedroom on your photos 🙂 I have a feeling I’m going to go all sea side style in there though- powder blue and crisp white maybe 🙂 x

  2. New Year new house? Mwahahah 🙂

Fabulous post Katia – so many lovely things there. I love that bedroom and the Bose music player. How wonderful it would be to have those
