Not exactly Heidiland, but close enough! You can of course climb that mountain and come down again, but you also have the possibility to hop onto a little train that will take you to the top. With two kids, we chose that option, and then walked all the way to the bottom. As you can see on the picture, it was an absolutely gorgeous day, and we did enjoy our outing very much.

We also went there once at night in the winter with a friend and her two boys. We took the train up again, then made our way to the restaurant to have fondue. It was on a clear, cold night that had a magical feel to it.
So here you go, the perfect image most people have of Switzerland: fresh air, hills and mountains, green pastures, forests, chalets and cows with their bells!

Gorgeous colours and light in this photo, makes me fancy some fresh air! x
Thanks, I was rather pleased with it as it did come out the way we were experiencing it! xx
That’s beautiful. I think we’d take the train up as well!
Thank you! Yep, with children, I think you have to, it takes quite a while to get down too!
love the patch of sun against the shade – what a great walk. Makes me think of Milka chocolate.
I just HAD to take that photo, despite the absence of the lilac Milka cow!!
That make sit look lovely. I really didn’t like the countryside in Switerland very much when we went in November. Maybe we were in the wrong area.
Obviously you were!
Although November is probably not the best time to visit, it is often grey and showing the countryside in a unflattering way.
That’s it it’s going on my list! I loved Heidi as a kid and I would love to visit Switzerland. My Dad has been tempting me with his pics too, such a beautiful unspoilt country isn’t it. LOVE fondue too
Since you like hills and mountains, this should indeed definitely be on your list!! And yes, no shortage of fondue!!
Goodness, that is so perfect it almost doesn’t look real!
I can assure you that it IS real…
Thanks for stopping by.
Oh wow!! Can I live there? Now please! You’ve just captured my most perfect place. This also looks a lot like an area I visited in Germany’s Black Forest. Switzerland has some of the most stunning landscapes I’ve ever seen. Gorgeous shot!
Thank you! So glad you love it so much. Yes, it is still easy to find unspoiled, picture perfect places!
Lovely picture – I lived in Switzerland for a few months and seeing pics always makes me smile.
Thanks, and glad I made you smile!
This looks like something from a post card, gorgeous x
You are right, it does! Thanks for commenting. xx
Wonderful photo – love the shadow that the out of shot cloud is creating…
Lou
Thank you! I took this as we stepped out of the train “station” as I thought it was so perfect.
Perfect Switzerland! I love it there – this brings back lots of holiday memories
Glad it brought back happy holiday memories!
Beautiful picture.
Thank you, happy you like it!
Want to be there!!
I could easily take you there!!
Next, with the snow and it’s perfect !
Yes, Switzerland is as beautiful as its clichés ! For the best.
I am counting on you to send me the perfect snowy photo!!
