I have always liked the idea of owning a selection of watches to match to different outfits. I also try whenever possible to go for items that have been locally designed and produced. And if there is a story behind it, even better. The Lady Savro watch, a KENNETT timepiece, happens to tick all the boxes.
In 2009, Tom Kennett was pondering what to give his father for his 60th birthday when he had an epiphany: As he shared with his Dad a love of watches, he would design one for him. And so the Savro model was born. The watch was a success and Tom left his father’s firm to start his own. Four years later, the KENNETT brand is a UK-based company, where all models are designed, assembled and distributed. The design and manufacturing process puts an emphasis on style, performance and attention to detail to end up with a qualitative product. KENNETT currently offers three Ladies collections: Ceramic, Elie and Savro. It also has four Gents collections: Altitude, Challenger, Savro and Valour. A blend of classic and modern, especially as KENNETT also set up its own social media company!
The Lady Savro is an elegant Chronograph timepiece that comes in a rose gold tone or a silver case. As for the strap, there are nine different colours to choose from. Its dial is a white high-grade mother of pearl, adorned with Swarovski elements. Unusual for a ladies watch, the Savro also sports three sub-dials (24 hour, minutes elapsed and seconds sub-dial).
I love how versatile the Lady Savro is, as it goes effortlessly from a business meeting to a glamorous party. I chose the model in a rose gold tone case with a red leather strap as you can see on the photos. I wore it last weekend and it attracted quite a bit of attention and compliments!
Disclosure: Kennett sent me a Lady Savro watch free of charge in return for writing this review. Words, photos and opinion are my own.
