We have two sets of decorations for our Christmas tree: White and Gold or Green and Red. We used to alternate but now, the first set comes out more often. Because the decorations are prettier. Especially the ballerina. There is always a big discussion between First Daughter and Second Daughter about who is going to hang it.
Christmas Tree Decoration - Ballerina
It is not the only discussion… Every year, Sexy Hubby has a go at convincing us girls that a “reasonably sized” tree would be fine. And every year we tell him that a tree smaller than us is simply ridiculous and he gets overruled. A Christmas tree has to reach all the way up to the ceiling, right? But to be fair, Sexy Hubby is the one carrying it up the stairs to our top floor flat so you cannot blame him for trying…

I took a photo of the whole tree but I was not satisfied with the result. I therefore give you instead a close up of some of our favourite decorations.

Let me know if you like them too?

  1. Gorgeous! I have two ballerinas this year. We have gone for a small potted tree on a table, because the puppy is a devil and can’t keep away from the dangly, pretty things πŸ™‚

    1. Cute Doggy is definitely showing an interest, but has behaved on the whole rather well. I did put the crib up on a table, though! πŸ˜‰ xx

    1. I think you should impose ONE ultra girly decoration… πŸ˜‰
Merry Christmas to you and your family too. xx

    1. I got one for each of my girls. First Daugther plays the piano and the violin. Second Daughter plays the piano. xx

  2. I bet your tree looks amazing – I love this combination and the decorations look wonderful. It’s so hard to get a photo of the tree looking fabulous. I had loads of photos then deleted the majority! Thank you for your lovely comments on the blog, am slowly getting round. Have popped my Sacroiliac joint – ouchy ouch ouch!

    1. Thanks, Charly. Yes, I gave up the idea of having a photo of the whole tree, found them rather uninteresting.
You are welcome re the comments, always enjoy reading your adventures.
And OUCH! Hope you are better by now!! xx

  3. White and gold is a lovely theme! Someday I hope to have a grown-ups Christmas tree too, with that kind of theme and glass baubles! For now I’m sticking with red and toy-like Christmas ornaments πŸ™‚ My glass baubles are hanging over a mirror in my living room, safe from 3-year-old daughter’s little hands πŸ™‚ Stopping over from Sticky Finger’s The Gallery.

  4. Absolutely LOVE the tree, Katia. The dance, musical theme is so lovely, delicate. Right now our tree is predominately silver, but I’ve grown more and more fond of gold decor in our home in the past year. So maybe I’ll switch it up next year.

    1. Thank you, Shana! I have to say that unwrapping these decorations always make me smile. πŸ™‚
Wondering what you will decide next year? xx

  5. The decorations are lovely Katia, and the tree sounds amazing! We chopped ours down the other day, I just need to find two minutes to write about it! πŸ˜€ xx
