A Monday With Monet

Or our very own version of him anyway!

While on holiday in the South of France in the summer, Second Daughter was kindly looked after by our friends a couple of nights, giving the opportunity to Sexy Hubby and I to go out for dinner on our own. The first evening, Second Daughter watched with them a documentary about Monet. She has been fascinated with him and his paintings ever since.

As First Daughter’s birthday was coming up, she decided to paint something for her sister “in the style of Monet”. We were all very impressed with the result!

What do you think?

πŸ™‚ Thank you for you kind comment! I also got comments on social media networks and told Second Daughter about the reactions, she was beaming with pride…

Thanks so much, Trish! πŸ™‚ She is good at drawing and loves it, definitely does not take after me in that respect…

Really good ! That’s good to have an idea in the head and to be able to make it concretely. She’s got a lot of talent !

Thank you! πŸ™‚ Her creativity and skills do amaze me. And I wish I could paint the ideas in my head too, but sadly it does not work that way… πŸ˜‰

My sons have a art teacher at school and she explained me how it’s frustrating for people (more for children) to have an idea, to make all to realize it and at last to see something else.

My DS1 lives it very bad.

I have an idea: next time we see each other I will ask DS1 what he would like me to draw. When he sees the result, he will never be frustrated again!! πŸ˜‰
