What I want to share with you today is not a memorable party, a marking event or an amazing trip. It is just a simple but happy day.
It goes a few years back when I was still living in Switzerland. My sister-in-law was visiting us and off we went for the afternoon. We drove to a nearby town by the lake to admire a tulip exhibition and were really taken aback by the sheer number of them. And all these different, bright colours! It was magnificent.
We had a stroll along the lake, with First Daughter enjoying her new rollerblades. I was very admiring of her as I never, ever managed to master that sport. We came across a merry-go-around and of course the girls went on it. It was then time for a rest and I am sure an ice-cream or cake figures in that story, but my memory fails me.
In the end we drove up the mountain and had short walk up there too, admiring the view, before heading back home.
As I said, nothing spectacular, but this remains a nice memory of a sunny spring day.
